Making A Difference

Mike Davis making a difference with youth events.

Mike enjoys working with the youth and partners up with several organizations such as the I Wanna Fish Too, Bledsoe Creek State Park, and Team Legacy, to help our youth to learn and enjoy fishing and conservation.

Helping Our Vets

Captain Mike Davis and his involvement with our Veterans.

Helping our Veterans is another one of Mike's enjoyments each year. Taking our Warriors out on the water is not only a great time but great therapy. A great way to give back to those who have given us our Freedom to Fish!

Teaching our Youth

Take a kid fishing with Mike Davis Outdoors.

Mike stresses that the opportunities that we have as anglers to teach our youth about fishing and conservation are all over the place. We need to take young men or women out fishing and show them what God has given us!

About Captain Mike Davis

Born in Orlando, Florida, Desert Shield/Storm combat disabled veteran Mike Davis grew up around the water. Fishing quickly became a source of relaxation and a strong connection to the great outdoors. After graduating high school, Mike followed his first dream of becoming a meteorologist by serving in the Army Field Artillery in Germany and Fort Sill, Oklahoma for a total of 6 years.

Mike took this experience coupled with a desire to help save lives and property and was selected for the National Weather Service as an ITO. Now residing in Nashville, Tennessee he balances his time between family, work, community support and pursuit of another lifetime goal and dream, professional angling.

Active in Little League baseball an church youth groups, Mike has mentored hundreds of kids about life lessons and the importance of performing well on the field as well as at home, school and in the community. USCG Captain Mike Davis is also the owner and lead guide for Mike Davis Outdoors and fishes on several local and national tournament trails.
